The Mystical History of Rainbow Moonstone

Revered for centuries across cultures, rainbow moonstone has captivated humanity with its ethereal blue-white glow. Ancient Romans believed moonstone was formed from solidified moonbeams, whilst in India it has been considered sacred for over 2,000 years, often set in silver and given as traditional wedding gifts.

The stone's characteristic adularescence – that mesmerising blue sheen that seems to float beneath the surface – was named after Mount Adular in Switzerland, where fine specimens were historically found.
